The Path to Prosperity by James Allen PDF - Book review
I have studied this book and would like to share what ive learned.
One of the biggest barriers to learning is the idea that we know it already.
Think strong, healthy unselfish thoughts. Look for the good and see cause and effect. Inner cause and outer effect. Be grateful to God for your present blessings and the freedom to choose for yourself. Trust God. Be charitable and realise the happy world now. Awaken and cure thyself.
Strengthen your faith in human nature. Be kind to yourself and others. Seek the happiness of others. Blame no-one but yourself for your misfortune. Forgive your own ignorance and the ignorance of others. Don’t be selfish. The power of faith and its spiritual strength. Work joyfully and peacefully, knowing that right thoughts and efforts will eventually bring right results.
Evil is the outcome of ignorance. So when the lessons of evil are learned, ignorance passes away and wisdom takes its place. Self seeking is error but be willing to learn. Understand the nature, use and power of thought.
So long as you persist in selfishly seeking your own happiness, that happiness will elude you. You will be sowing the seeds of wretchedness. Lose yourself in the service of others. In that measure will happiness come to you. All selfishness is discord, out of harmony with divine order.
Trust in the power of integrity and faith. Evil is an experience in your own heart. Evil is a shadow cast by the self.
Make useful and unselfish service the object of your life. Do good now with what you have now. Watch your motives and desires. Desire to do good now with what you have. Virtue is wealth.
Value and use wisely that which you already possess. Don’t waste your precious time or energy. Evil can transform into blessings.
Forgiveness of self and others. Don’t have self pity. Change the inner poverty to inner wealth. Be content, be humble, patient, and kind to yourself and others. Forgive ignorance. Respect yourself and others. Learn to value, appreciate and be grateful for what you have now. To be used wisely. Keep the commandments of God and prosper in the land.
